Hey,

I have a pair of Asus ATI Radeon HD 6950 OC 2048MB (rev 1 with the bios switch)

I want to do some overclocking, and maybe unlocking some extra features.

Few questions:

1. In MSI After Burner, I can only hit a core clock of 840 MHz, and a max 1325MHz Memory (same max values in AMD Overdrive)? How can I increase this?

2. What, if anything, should I do with regards to unlocking features? I have the dual bios, so I guess there is limited risk? There is a lot of conflicting information here, but is there a definitive guide as to what I need to do? is it really worth it?

Look in the MSI AB CFG file and find this and mod the same as below.
UnofficialOverclockingEULA = I confirm that I am aware of unofficial overclocking limitations and fully understand that MSI will not provide me any support on it
UnofficialOverclockingMode = 1
AccessibilityCheckingPeriod = 0

This will give you loads of room to OC,Remeber AB untick the box in setting Synchronize settings for similar bla bla bla.
OC the cards one at a time.

What is the best program to use to test stabilty, and what would be a good overclock to aim for (I don't want to push it).

Also, should I keep fan control on auto?
Do anything with voltage control?

Furmark multi GPU is ok. But games will be the real test.

Think 880/1325 stock volts is a good base to start.

I cant overvolt my cards at all if i do i get arti all the time.(poor xfx cards)

As for fan settings,set it to man in CCC then use AB to set your own profile.

thanks Phase.

I am getting a bit cofused in AB!
I've ticked the "Enable Manual Fan Control" option in CCC, and fan went upto 50%

When I am AB, should the Fan Speed (%) section be green highlighted when user control/user define is enabled?
When I tick this, I don't get an apply option. I only get this when I check and uncheck "Auto"?

Should I be able to give each GPU it's own profile?
The only way I see to change the GPU I am using is in the "settings". This is also where I set the fan speeds, but they seem to be the same for each, even though I think I am only changing one of them?

(sorry for the noob questions. I've done CPU ocing before, but not ventured into GPU before)
