Ok, when I was trying to overclock the other day I realised two things.

1)The voltage control in Afterburner was blanked out, even though when I did the unnofficialoverclock = 1 thing, still not there.

2) When my graphics card hits about 72ish degrees C, it will freeze for a couple of seconds, go black, then come back as if nothing has happened.

Do you think that this is a problem with my graphics card, or is it common?

I think the only cards with voltage control at the moment are the Asus ones using smartdoctor. I expect the rest will be unlocked soon, hopefully with the next release of afterburner.

The card shouldn't cut out at 72C. Is it overclocked at all and is it always at 72C?

Doubt this is a heat issue, is this happening at stock speed? Might be running out of puff if you can't change voltages.

I sure you would have tried this already but just make sure your drivers are the latest version and that voltage control is unlocked in the afterburner settings.

Ok, I will try and reply to everyone, to give as much info as possible.

maximusmi2: Yes, it is overclocked to 950/1450 +20%, and HWMoniter always shows the maximum temp as being 72C, so I assumed this was the cause. Also, looked it up, and yeah, the 6970 isn't supporting voltage control on other cards, so I just need to wait.

koooowweeee + Guitarman0: I have tried 10.12 and 10.12 rc3, but it always gives the same results.

Justintime: It could be an issue with my PSU, it is only 600W, but why does it only do it when my fans are at 30%, and not at 50%? This is what leads me to believe that it is related to temps. In any case, I'm going to remove the sound card from my computer, as I am currently not using it (Not supported in Windows 7 very well) so maybe this could free up a small amount of Watts

600W should be more than sufficient, what brand psu though?

It's either OCZ or Corsair, not 100% certain, I bought it a good few years ago so not so sure, but I remember checking it when I bought it and it wasn't too bad if I remember correctly. Think it was something like a stealth, and it had SLI certified support
