Hi,

I've jsut installed my 6970 and all was well. Played about 5mins of SWTOR and the screen appears with lines down it. All i could do was reboot. On the reboot i can't get in to Windows but just at the logging in to Windows screen i get little like colour scratch marks (the best i can describe) on the screen. I can boot in to safemode ok and once i removed the ATI drivers i could boot in to windows ok but with no drivers. Updated from the disk and then the same thing happened on the reboot with coloured marks on the screen.

I notice on the Card there is a bank of 14 little LED's and 4 of them are red?? What do these LED mean? I've put my trusty x1950xtx back in and it boots fine.

My powersuply is a Antec Truepower 650w. I'm sure this isn't the problem but thought i better state it. Other system spec in sig

Looks like the LEDs are to tell me how much load the card is taking. Anyone confirm this?

If i'm getting dots in the bios do you think the card is faulty? It's only noticable on the top of the bios menu.
 
would it boot tho if the psu was underpower? i get in to safe mode everytime and normal windows when no ATI loaded. Still want to know what these LEDs are for?
