Right, strange things are happening.

My GPU has been occasionally coming up with a black screen and that unforgettable noise it makes when the graphics drivers stop responding and have to recover.

First of all it happened when i was running windows 8, so i Thought meh windows 8 DELETE.

but now its still happening in windows 7. Happens A lot in (Insert MMO names here). happened in minecraft :OOOO.

and now its doing it every time i load a raw file as a smart object in photoshop cs6. I mean EVERY TIME, which is quite annoying actually

drivers are 12.6.

any thoughts? thanks

It is completely the fault of the rubbish AMD drivers and the fact AMD cards are so far inferior to NVIDIA....

What I would do is load up afterburner and add 0.06 volts and see how that goes.

i totally agree, I have NO idea why i buy AMD cards. EVERY time i get an amd over a gtx, probably due to cost, like when amd cpus used to be good performance at a cheap price.

Both have/had problems Marty. Sometimes we get lucky and never see these problems and other times, we seem to get every problem going.

Try the volts increase and let us know if that works bud.

ok, increased volts, no luck. However uninstalling 12.6 and installing 12.4, oh would you look at that, the problems stop. hmmm...

good to know its not the card though, i cant afford another at the moment

No no, Some people are reporting certain drivers are sweet and others not so. Just luck with your system. Glad you got sorted though
