6970 Size?

Hey, i was wondering if anyone knew if a single 6970 would fit in a CoolerMaster CM690 II Advanced case without any problems? What about 2?

And would two 6970 cards run ok on

or would i need to up the PSU with the second card? (or even without a 2nd?)

6970 is 10.5" long if I'm not mistaken, but CFing them is hard because of the super boxy coolers - if you cant separate them out its recommended to just have a single card.

they are *really* long, longer than my standard atx motherboard

just checked mine, just under 30cm, think the cooler/pcb/box is 27cm, and with the mounting bracket, 29cm

also you can pretty much forget accessing anything under the cards, cooler is a box :/

Well.. Turns out im going to wait and see how Sandy Bridge performs. Yay for a NEW plan -.-
