Greetings Earthlings,

I have recently accomplished the impossible, I have finally unshackled myself from the chains known as Skyrim, at long last I can begin to rebuild my (e)life and start playing the other games that i've been waiting to download :D

Last night I downloaded Batman: Arkham city, which is a great game and I would recommend it to anyone.

I'm currently playing it on full settings, with the exception of the motion blur feature, purely because I find it really annoying.

The game runs very fluidly, sometimes the game can stutter for one or two seconds, but that seems to only happen when i'm rapidly grapple hooking my way through one side of the city to the other at 80mph, so that might suggest my cpu speed, i'm waiting for payday to get a noctua so it's sitting at 3.5ghz on stock cooler.

My GPU is running at 98%~ for anything intensive, (which isn't far off the temperature these things get to either! :D)

At what point do you think investing in a 7970 becomes worth it over a 6970? I'm only running a single monitor at 1920x1080, with no intentions to invest in eyefinity.

I would have thought the 6970 would be fine for a while yet, I have no problems with mine playing games like rise of flight, BF3 and max setting.

You could always OC your card using catalyst control center or msi afterburner, this should give you some more head room for anything intensive.

Keep your 6970, sell your monitor and get the Samsung 3D monitor on offer instead!

It will bring your games to life much better than any gpu upgrade.

It can be hacked to run Nvidia 3D at a later date if you jump ship to the green side too!

If you have some Anaglyph 3D glasses(Red+Blue cardboard glasses), I can post up some pics to give you an idea what it looks like.
