I was looking at a new monitor - Hazro 30" and native res is 2560 x 1400. It states that GFX must be capable of Dual DVI and the 6990 has 1 DVI port- can anyone advise if it will run and how? Sorry to be niaive but not sure about this

Dual is the name of the port/cable it doesn't mean you need 2 cables but you need a dual dvi to get the higher resolutions. Basically a single dvi cable doesn't have as many pins so only capable I think upto 1920x1020 wher dual goes a lot higher, so long as your monitor and card have a dual dvi connection you only need 1 dual-dvi cable.
