6990 owners? Weird fan control problem...

To all 6990 owners (maybe better with tri-fire like me)

I seem to have lost fan control within CCC for my 6990! I first noticed it at i42 when there was hardly any air coming from the rear of the 6990 but was blasting from the 6970

I install 11.4
I have control
I reboot and then only have "Enable manual fan control" for the second 6990 GPU
Problem is that it does **** all! My G19 Aida 64 monitoring app says it is at 80%, for example, but it isn't

Any thoughts?

I am using MSI AB and it works but if I forget to disable it, it crashes BC2 (thanks PB!)

i think in ccc the fan speed is controled by the gpu1...

tbh i don't use ccc for that , MSI AB is better

As above, the fan speed option for GPU1 is not available in CCC
I am stumped!

have u tried uninstall the driver + CCC then reinstall them?

On 11.6 and still have the same problem
Only starts when I remove ULPS - but that's needed because sometimes my GPU don't come up to speed properly

The 6990 is controlled by the first selection in CCC. But fan control isn't an option for selection 2. Selection 3 = yes, but it doesn't do anything

Solved. It seems MSI AB was out of date!
