6990 to 7970 Matrix worth it?

Hello, would it be worth upgrading my 6990 to a 7970 Matrix? Playing mostly BF3 on a 1440p monitor.

Its a side grade but if you could get a good price for your 6990 I would be tempted to swap

No problems with the 6990, just love the look of the new 7970 Matrix, i am kinda tempted to sell the 6990 for the matrix but only if its going to perform better, can't find anything to compare both cards though.
The offer overclockers have at the moment with the games seems like a great deal.

When both are overclocked, the 7970 should outperform the 6990. If you can get a good price for your 6990, then it would be worth considering. Also think about 7950 crossfire, it would be not much more than a 7970 matrix but would be a big performance increase over a 6990.

7950 xfire however is a completely different story
