Its coming to that time of the year again where I do summer weddings , what camera would you hirer ? Last year I went with the Canon 6D as a second and loved it , plus its pretty light hence why I avoid going with MK2 , very light and easy to use , should I try out the 7D MK2 ? its only an extra £10 to Hire.

I currently use two cameras , Canon 6D with a 24-70 mm 2.8 80% off the day

And 2nd Hirer camera 50mm 1.4 and a 70 - 200. 50mm for prep amd getting ready , 70 - 200 for outside shots and portraits.

Full frame, 50mm would be useless on a crop for the majority of getting ready. I'd be tempted to hire an 85mm for the second camera. Seems pointless having the 24-70 on one camera and a 50mm on the other.

Also, if your 6D dies you'll be stuck with 35mm as your widest lens. Not really a problem unless you are used to the full 24mm.
