I am 6ft 7inches and around 22 stone, looking at this being my first bike after my CBT so I can get a few months experience before I go for a full license and a Tour bike most likely, will this be suitable?

It'll feel pretty small on you and certainly won't be quick, but no 125 will be quick.

The Honda Varadero 125 is a dimensionally bigger bike and should be ok with your height, it still won't be quick though.

Not bothered about quick as of yet as I want to get used to riding and also just commuting for now, the Varadero seems quite difficult to get hold of at the moment.

Yeah I don't they're made anymore, but they're popular as they're really the only 125 suitable for tall riders and they are one of the most capable 125s to be honest.

I had a CBR125 which felt tiny to me and I'm only 6ft and 12.5 stone so I think it would definitely be too small for you.

I was hoping to buy brand new due to not having no knowledge of bikes and thought it would have been the easier option whilst getting experience but seeing as the CBF is made for Dwarfs and they stopped catering for Giants I will have to go back to the drawing board.

Thanks for the help so far, no doubt I will be needing more after Jan 4th(CBT)

As posted above try one out somewhere/somehow. I've got a CBR125, I'm about 5'5, and only 10.5 stone, and the CBR isn't quick enough for me. It pulls fine to about 40-50 so it may be ok for you.

I've got a CBF125 but youre nearly a foot bigger than me. Doesnt feel small but not big either so I'd say no.

Before anyone considers a cbf125 take a look here:

brand new cbf supplied with rust by Victor Devines, the dealer wasn't interested but Honda UK came through and upgraded him to a cbr125 free of charge, hes awaiting delivery of it as we speak.

But yeh, if that's the build quality I'd walk straight past it and look for an older generation honda or something else.

Yeah, the CBF125 is notoriously poor. All low end Hondas seem to be like this these days, it's a shame as Honda's used to be the gold standard for build quality.

The Yamaha YBR125 is much better than Honda's CBF125.
