Evening gents,

Got a few months left on my home side extension, which will include a new large-ish open plan living room, 7m wide, 8m long on one side, 6m long on the opposite side (2m wide staircase).

Floor Plan:

Originally planned to roughly divide the room into quarters, have the TV in the top left corner in above image with sofas around. But it feels a bit congested, and I've changed my mind since we entertain a lot and I want a big corner 3m x 3m sofa. So sofas going to go in another corner, with the TV on a wall just under 6m away. It's a massive wall with lots of space, but just trying to figure out how big the TV needs to be.

I honestly think 85" will be a bit too small, but then the next step up is 97-98" which bumps the price...and even then I don't know if it'll be big enough? I've got an LG 48CX as my current PC monitor and I adore the OLED, so would probably prefer to go with OLED again, but then it's a lot more expensive than the QLED stuff. The other thing is, it's a very well lit room with 7 windows around, and I worry a little about the glare/brightness issues, although I hope in recent years this is less of an issue.

Also, a total side note since I definitely can't afford it, but if there are any recommendations for a soundbar or something to go with it, that would be great!

Advice appreciated, many thanks as always!

We have around 4.something metres and the LG G series 65" is big enough, Id dare say 85" will work ok, you could rig up a bit of wood or cardboard and see what you think. You could also have it on an articulated mount that could bring it forward a foot or two while in use too.
