Hi all.

Hope your well.

Can I ask please for a bit of help. I don't no if I'm in the correct area, so please excuse me that.

I have a fibre optic lamp from the 1990's, UFO.
I accidentally plugged the wrong power adapter into it. Thinking it was ok, then after few minutes..I said to my wife..I thought I plugged it in. But yes wrong adapter.
I took it apart.
Inside is a mr11 (gu4) 6v 5w bulb, 10 x 1.2w fairy lights & a 6v motor. The lights work ok now that I changed them but for the motor...
The motor is a ..
6v AC ..42tyz synchronous motor,

& I can't get 1 for the life of me, not any were on the internet.

My asking for help is...
Do any of you folk know where I can get 1.
Or
Can I put a 12v substitute in place...change the 6v mr11 (gu4) bulb for a 12v ..the fairy lights for 12v . All keeping to the same wattage. & Changing the power supply adapter to 12v (same wattage). Would I be ok, my only little thing I can think of is heat.. is there going to be much heat of the 12v Vs 6v .?

Any ideas please.
I don't mind working with my fingers.

Like I say I don't know if I'm in the correct area to post.

Thanks for your time.

There seems to be loads of compatible parts on Aliexpress at 6V, without knowing more about the UFO impossible to say how easily and safely it can be adjusted for 12V operation.
