Ok, so last year I updated my speakers... but I'm not happy with the door speakers... so, I need low range only as I have mid range/tweeters in dash... but looking for something around the £100 mark that will give PLENTY of bass from a 6x9" speaker... seem to be quite rare but anyway... let me know recommendations!

A sub in the doors. That'll sound awesome.
Well suppose title is stupid not literally a sub but I only need bass coming from them really so the bassiest speakers is what I need :) I just can't be bothered taking up room in the boot with amps and sub's etc so just trying to get the nicest fullest sound I can without additional stuff

Would one (or two) of those underseat sub packages not be a more sensible and probably neater solution than cutting 6x9s into the door cards?

Most of them are active I think, which is probably key as I'd hazard a guess that being driven by a weak amplifier is causing as much of your issue as the speakers themselves.

I've already got 6x9's in there, they're just not as good as I was hoping... so just want to replace them with something a bit better... but not sure how much to spend or what ones people recommend.

Sounds like you're after mid bas woofer.
Are the standard speakers 6x9?
I wouldn't recommend putting anything bass heavy in the doors.
As above an underseat sub will be loads better, then set your crossovers so less bass is going to the doors.

What is the specific issue you have with them that a different 6x9 might cure?

You may find that things like frequency cut-offs/crossover settings, phase settings, general amp settings etc might also be an issue rather than "just" the specific speakers you currently use.

Are they amplified or are all the speakers being driven from the stock headunit or something?

Whilst you'll get obvious quality differences between brands, I don't think you'll get a massive leap in bass output between different 6x9s if they're both being driven identically.

Issue might be DSP rather than speakers themselves. If they’re interfering with each other, they won’t sound right.

You can make bad speakers sound acceptable with a DSP, but a bad/no DSP can mean great speakers sound pants.
