Hi, looks like I'm the only one on the internet having problems with this as I haven't been able to find any information anywhere about my problem, so I've come to you guys :D

I've been using Windows 7 for 2 weeks now, and realised today that I was still using the standard 2.1 setup that windows had configured, so thought I'd set up 7.1 to work with my Creative Gigawork S750's

So I finally find where to configure them (I haven't really played with Vista so was little different from XP) and tested all the speakers out on the windows configuration software.
All bar the 2 middle side speakers work, which has been a common problem in the past, but has normally worked after tweaking on the amp (not this time), but this didn't worry me too much as they worked in a 5.1 setup and just mirrored the rear speakers.

But as soon as I leave the configuration settings and try out an actual program I am still on 2.1, even after restart and driver update.
I'm using onboard sound from my eVGA 680i realtek, and the programs I've tried have been: Winamp, VLC and WMP

No luck, so could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong. Thank you
