7 days to die - worth the hard earned yet?

Been hearing mainly positive things about 7 days to die, it's $35 and on alpha, suppose to be a hybrid of dayz and minecraft.

Just wondered if anyone here has purchased and plays it regular or was it fun to start but short lived. Interested to hear your comments.

Currently it seems that servers can only be joined if you know the IP - in the next alpha patch there is going to be a lot more multiplayer support added - i.e. find game.

If i end up buying this i'll host a server to OC forum members.
