I am using a Corsair RM650 PSU, it's not be pushed very hard as it's only powering a i5 4670k and a GTX 970 GPU.
I am looking to run my front fans and LED's at 7V. They will be plugged into a Mod My Toy PCB splitter (4pin molex to 3 x 3pin). I was thinking about wiring the cable to power the splitter directly from the PSU to supply the splitter to 7V.
So basically, is the 7 Volt mod safe, or does it put strain on the PSU over time?
