7-Zip problem in Win 7

Hi guys,

I cant seem to get file association to work in 7-Zip and Windows 7. Every time I select the filetypes in 7-Zip it just doesnt work and the next time I load 7-Zip they are all unticked. I'm using 7-zip 64bit version 465. Context menus work, any ideas?

You need to run 7-Zip with elevated privileges to set the file associations, i.e. right-click and run as administrator. You only need to do this the once, afterwards you can run it normally. It's the same with Vista.
