Yer would agree there. E.g. GoW. Join a co-op game on insane mode. You get the achievements for the lower difficulties too. Doing this you'll get 60 points per level completed. Esp easy if your with someone l33t
Before i start to play a game, say on single player, i would read a guide or look at the achievements list to see exactly how to play the game, first time round, to unlock the most achievements. Call me sad or whatever, but this is how i like to play.EDIT: or if you read up on how the achievements are rewarded, the most efficient way to get all the single player stuff would be to join someones insane mode co-op campaign from the start. You get all the level achievements (380 pts ish), all the achievements for killing bosses (90 points) and all the dom achievements (worth 60 pts). That's 530 points for one play through on insane - about 6-7 hours work if your good and excludes cogs tags too (worth 60 points). So you can see by reading up on how do things achievements unlock a lot quicker.
McDan1el - 1000 pts in 4 mins on NHL 2K6! How did u manage that penalty shot thing - its driving me crazy.

Me and my mate got it down to a "tee" get 1 player (the player you want achivement with) to run his puck into his keeper, get the keeper to "cover" the puck to cause a faceoff, get player 1 to win the face off so he can easily get on a breakaway, as soon as he is past the defenders hold down x - get player2 to run behind him and wiggle the right thumbstick to cause the penalty shot. Once the penatly shot takes place think its clicking in the RS or LT + RS for player 2 to manually take control of the keeper, move to left, shoot to right - or vice versa.
We got 10 penatly shots in a row using this method (also turn penalty shot slider up)
