Im doing this one now before i do any CCNA. got to the same part as the CCNA (subnetting) that i was having trouble. mastered it with the MS book.

Question is: what are you allowed to bring in to the exam? paper to scribble notes or is this provided? i need rough paper or i wont be able to work it out!

Calculator? - although i could do it without.

Any help appriciated. exam is booked for end of sept.
Thanks :)

in the cisco exams they give you one of those little whiteboards and a dry wipe marker

guess it would be similar for MS

Unless they've changed from the MCSE exams, you can't take anything in. You are provided with paper and pens, and for most exams have access to windows calc.

If thats true that would be great, Make it easier. can anyone else confirm that you could use the Calc? and pens & Paper / white board?

Thanks for your help!

I did the 70-649 which is the roll up exam (it included the networking exam\ AD\ Application Config) and they let you use windows calc in that one. (not that I needed because no subnetting questions). Good Luck!

THey will give you a crappy laminated sheet and a felt tip pen (probably) you dont have to start the exam straight away so you have time to write stuff down (like numbers of hosts / subnets tables) you can ask for more then 1 sheet (I have a few times) but it depends on the exam centre

Exactly what i want to do, how many subnet questions did you have?
