Does that board have 4 ddr2 ports and 2 ddr3 ports ? or are they all interchangablbleble?

it has 4 DDR2 slots and 2 DDR3 slots (green ones)

yes, 2ddr3 and 4 ddr2.
The ddr3 sockets wont take ddr2 and vise versa.
They also can't both be used at once.

Pay the £12 and get the DS3R , mines running an E2140 at 3.2ghz as we speak, very happy with it.
That £12 will be a sound investment.

yeah the P5K is good. Think your be safe with most p35 boards but thats another £14 for the P5K

I'd avoid the DS3R, had nothing but problems with mine, just RMA'd it, probly just an isolated case but still.
