Comet wants to charge me this amount for fitting a thermostat. I see they cost about 20 quid, anyone fitted one of these before? Is it possible to do without calling an engineer? Help appreciated.

An Oven, thats right, an " OVEN ". * Applauds to all remedials in the thread * No... wait, its a kettle in all honesty, i'm spending £70 to get my £15 kettle repaired. :)

With an attitude like that you aren't going to get much advice. There are plenty of things thermostats are used in.

With the pretentious and egotistical attitude of each reply to my question, i really can't see why i'd want help? :(

and on that note, how do i delete pointless threads with no help?

I havent seen anything pretentious.. and you do still need to edit the competitor out of your OP. That very first word right there.
