A few questions.

- What do you use the PC for?
- What monitor are you using\res?
- How old is the PSU?
do a bit of gaming world of warcraft etc the psu is about 8 years old CX550M , monitors Acer gaming monitors 1920x1080 1ms

edit: actually just was checking box the psu is a Cooler master Silent ProM 600w about 7 years old forgot the cx550m died

whats the standard cooler like that is comes with the cpu ? worth upgrading or be ok for just casual stuff ?

The 7600 non-X? Sufficient for basic desktop use and gaming, but it is not great (it is AMD's worst box cooler).

A peerless assassin/phantom spirit for £35 smashes it out of the park. The £25 black Freezer 36 @ OCUK is also a lot better.
cheers i was looking at them and there are so many for the am5 range i see the Thermalright Peerless is pre order atm

decided to go AM5 set up how this look before i order ?

XFX SPEEDSTER QICK 319 AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT 12 Go GDDR6
and changed the cpu to the 7600 none X

that memory ok or any other suggestions ?

i have had to up the budget a bit but still cant decide lol

not sure what to go for here cpu wise looking at the

AMD Ryzen 5 7600X or the AMD Ryzen 7 7700

and the motherboard looking at the MSI X670E Gaming WIFI plus or the
Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX V2 Motherboard

The main benefits of the MSI (it applies to almost all X670E boards versus B650) are:
- 1x extra M.2 slot (4 versus 3).
- PCI-E 5.0 graphics (versus 4.0).

As Craig_d1 said, using the money on a better graphics card will get you more performance than the motherboard.
get a 7600, and put the difference between that and a 7700 towards a better gpu
Msi x670e gaming wifi better than the gigabyte board, but go for cheapest unless they're really closely priced, diff towards gpu again
gpu, gpu...will have the biggest impact here..7600 is an excellent cpu anyway
managed to get a second hand Radeon rx7800XT so the gpu is sorted i had found the msi board at £150 but back up to £220 the gigabyte board is £150 so probably end up with that still undecided on the cpu
