My friend has asked me to build him a Gaming PC for around £700 (just the base unit, he has 1080p monitor, keys & mouse).
He doesn't mind second hand parts if it means getting better performance.
I know that 1155 is a dead platform with the new 1150 Haswell CPUs but would you still go the route of a bargain 1155 board and CPU and overclock them?
I'm just a bit torn between what to recommend. As I've got an i5 2500k and it games well enough for me @ 1920x1200 but that is due to the 7970.
Any advice would be much appreciated
