Morning Chaps! I've been out of the hardware game for quite a while now, but I've been asked by a friend to put a system together for him.

His budget is £700, and for that he needs everything except an OS.

That means; Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard, Computer.

The system is going to be used for gaming, something that can handle reasonably demanding games like Borderlands 2 and DOTA 2 is ideal.

The system only needs an ordinary DVD drive for games, no more than 1TB of HDD space and stock cooling will be sufficient.

A WiFi adapter will be needed.

Hmmmm, come to think of it, the FX-6 6200 would be a better option given the small increase in price... Hmmm...

Some "Friend" you are. :D

Well, the system's built, up and running.

Thanks for the recommendations, the Screen is superb!
Only problem at the moment is that the motherboard seems to ramp the CPUfan speed up a lot at fairly low temps (the fan hits 70% at 25 degrees!) so an upgraded CPU HSF might be in order!

In other news, windows runs really really well on six cores! :D
