£700 Gaming Build

Im assuming that is the minimum I should go for that build? I don't mind spending a little more for 600+w but if its not needed and theres decent deals on 550w I may aswell go for that :)

I also seen a XFX PRO550W P1-550S-XXB9 Power Supply (PSU) Core Edition for £47.46. These are apparently made by Seasonic which I was told is one of the most reliable PSU manufacturers.

Is this better than the SuperFlower?

No unfortunatly. I mentioned it but he's not 100% needing one at the moment. He will buy at a later date but standard mechanical hd will do just now.

Yes but in that build there is some components downgraded to what we were looking at. Im getting my build for £721 w/o SSD. Can always buy one at later point anyway :)

Never though it would be the PSU I was stuck on deciding lol.

Not 100% sure mate, would be in next year definetly but hes working to a budget of around £850 and i still have to get a £100 monitor, then keyboard mouse and speakers.

I know SSD's are a lot faster but im still using a mechanical just now and its been working fine since built.

Myself personally will upgrade to a SSD also but like I said because of his budget we would rather spread the amount a SSD would cost over the other parts (GFX, Case, Motherboard etc).

+1 to the ssd vote. Loads windows in maybe 3.5 seconds. But if i were you i wouldnt get an msi 280x i think they have a tendency to run quite hot. Well mine does tho ive been happy with its performance so far. And thats without mentioning the buzzing situation and the oil leaking debacle that affected msi cards.

Any particular reason? If it's due to the noise/heat thing then that is not relevant to the third part coolers.
Because they are £70-80 more expensive and I am working to a budget.
