£700 gaming pc

Looking to buy a new gaming pc and hoping for advice in the build, all help will be much appreciated

I have a budget of £700, and have mouse, keyboard and Speaker already.
I also have a 27" iMac that I could use as a monitor. I can find the exact model later but I'm sure it has Mini Displayport.

I intend to play a broad range of games, though one main game I will likely slip in and out of an addiction to is Eve Online.

I would like to know the pros/cons of overclocking?

This is the Mac I have. It struggles running Team Fortress. I would be surprised if it's useful for anything other than a monitor.

Ok I'm set, after chatting with a friend (a fine gangsters by the name of Sindri) and reviewing the builds you kind gentlemen have put together I have made my purchase

I will report the results after. Let us hope I don't screw up the assembly :s
