Hi All,

My brother is after spending £700 on a gaming rig. I've been out of the game for a long time, so have no clue what to look for regarding recent hardware. He was after a pre-built machine, but I think I can build it for him to get something better for the cash - would be much appreciated if you guys could help me out with a spec?

He just needs case/components - he has a monitor, peripherals etc. OS not required either.

Many Thanks

EDIT - he has a 1080P freesync monitor - not sure if that influences the hardware choices.

I would go with something like the specc'd below, however if I added the Ryzen 3600 to it you'd be at £690 and still need a case, However if you added a Ryzen 2600 or 1600AF which can be had for around £90 then you'll have plenty of spare cash for a cash..

The storage will do for a fair few games to start off then add something bigger to the build when needed.

The RAM is 3200mhz which is still fast enough for Ryzen chips but the 3600mhz is out of stock, that was highly recommended lately

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £496.97 (includes shipping: £11.10)
