£700 Laptop

Need one for Uni, gonna use it for writing essays and gaming, mostly WoW prolly

anyway so far the 2 below have caught my eye (both exc VAT):

1. Zoostorm 2-6301

Intel Core Duo T2300E,
512MB RAM,

256MB ATI X1600,
15.4" Widescreen

prolly buy another stick of 512 if i buy this.

2. Zepto Znote 6214W

I agree, much better GFX card in the Znote but I'd also try and get another gig of ram to beef it up a little

Btw I think you were looking at the zepto prices without vat to get £660 for that one.

yeah, i dont pay VAT for student stuff methinks.

Also, would 14" be too small? I kinda like the idea of a small laptop, easier to carry. And does anyone know if the display is any good on zepto lappys? I've been sniffing around some shops and really like the look of sony displays, but of course they're way overpriced.

I hope you don't have to pay vat if your a student because I'm getting a zepto one soon. I doubt I'll be that lucky somehow. Personally I don't think 14" is to small, it would be the same size as a 15" crt and I managed with one of those for a few years.

well even so, my dad works for an university, he'll just say he needs another one

also, is acer laptops worth looking at? they seem to have an awful lot on their site, which aint a good thing imo, I don't like too much choice.
