£700 to spend; excluding CPU and MOBO

Hey hey,

I am looking at a new build around this mobo and cpu; presuming they will work very well together for the sole purpose of gaming?

Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor
Asus Maximus VII Ranger Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard

Red on black theme and this will be the first one I am putting together from start to finish so a good thermo paste wouldn't go amiss either.

Fan of corsair and the green team nvidia, but open to suggestions for my moneys worth. Ideally looking to max out graphics at 60fps 1080p on an IPS screen. Predominately for games such as BF, looking to go into Battlefront on release.

I would say I've got about another £700 for the remainder of the parts, including OS, but keyboard, mouse and monitor aren't necessary.

What can you amazing folks in General Hardware come up with for me; give me some inspiration :)

Have you seen the ASUS Pro gamer? that does everything i think you could want and is black+red.
 
the case doesn't have an optical drive bay so you could take off the external drive if you can sort out installing Windows from a USB flash drive. 290X trades shots with the 970 (link) and will easily be enough for gaming at 1080p
