Hi guys Im after a new laptop, want to be spending around £700
I currently have a Dell Lattitude E6400 with a C2D 2.53 ghz, 2gb ram, 14" 1440x900 screen, WD Black 7200rpm hard drive, and I am after a bit of an upgrade
It wont be used for gaming, just downloading and watching 1080p blurays and general multimedia use
The musts are:
i3 or i5 - Is i3 gonna be better then my current cpu?
4 gb+ ram
Hard drive - not fussed will probs upgrade anyway
15.6 screen max and the resolution must be higher then 1366x768 urgh!
I have seen a Dell XPS 15 which fits my budget nicely and has a 15.6" 1080p screen, anyone any experiance with such a high resolution on a small screen? How will icon sizes and text compare to what I currently have?
I Prefer quality and reliability over performance
Must not be an acer or packard bell lol, If the keyboard is black Id prefer it to be backlit
Thanks any replies would be greatly appreciated, I still like my current Dell, Would a 4gb ram upgrade make a massive difference to the speed?
