First attempt at watercooling, bits have been ordered hopefully be hear around the begining of september, so what we have atm is

Corsair 700D
MSI PD65
Twin Frozr II GTX 580 (doesnt really need water cooling as the frozr system is very good, but needs must)
I5K on a H50 in push pull and 3 more on the top of the case all Apache vipers
8 meg of G-Skill rip jaw (ok i bought the wrong colour :( ) will swap for blue ones:D

Current temps with the H50 4.7Ghz @ 1.36 V
IDLE 34
Full load 61

GPU
IDLE 54
MAX 81

So now for the new kit waiting arrival

EK D5
Ek 360 RAD
Myriad duel drive bay res (I wanted to see it bubble about)
2 litres of distilled water (i am bound to spill it)
XSPC rasa CPU block
XSPC razor VGA block
10 EK PSC fittings
1 EK PSC 45
3 meters of master clear tubing
2 more Apache vipers to complete the push/pull on the rad.

So far so good, but all i can say is plan, plan some more take a good look at the inside of your PC, realise your original plan and other plan wont work. Plan some more, draw up a bracket to bend up at work at lunchtime from the scrap bin and scrounge some more m6x30 to complete the push pull fixings for the res (you see i new it was worthwhile checking it would fit)

Future plan is maybe another rad if i go SLI and to get the sides of the case laser cut with some logo i come up with or other.

Anyway first pic with the guts out and just about working PC, there looks to be so much space at the moment, so watch this space for more disaster of a first time water cooling noob.

trust me when i say u wont need push/pull on the ek rad mate. just use them fans to push air out of th rad ;)

Mehhh, dont leave me hanging on trust :) why ?

I have spent a little more on the blocks, some compromises have to be made on costs regarding a few parts, you know how it is i am sure or maybe your a lotto winner :)

lol - Because I been there and done that mate just recently, it made sod all difference to the cooling capabilities of the EK rad.

In fact - Changing the Rad to a Thermochill PA 120.3 had a far greater impact than having 3 additional fans on my EK 360XT rad.

tbh - The radiator is one of the most important elements of a watercooled system (after all it's what takes the heat out of the water!) and I would highly recommend spending that little bit more on a decent rad ;)

1 120.3 radiator will be more than enough to cool just a cpu and gpu mate. I cool 2 x gpu's and 1 cpu with mine

Full of questions, regarding powering the pump is there any disadvantage of running it off a molex rather than 3 pin off the motherboard ?

Well its done :)

No leaks apart from the reservoirs front cover plate. I didn't want to over tighten the screw in the perspex. (DIY kits in the box, not overly impressed by its construction truth be told).

As for temps hit and miss really.

CPU

IDLE 36
LOAD 57

GPU

IDLE 34
LOAD 57

The gpu cooling is amazing i have managed to up the volts and clock it even more now so thats running really,

The CPU temp was a little disappointing i was hoping for mid to high twenties but its still within limits by a long margin and when its doing 50% work it stays below 40. ( i have reseated it twice now and still the same readings it could be the IC diamond needs a few days to settle in though).

Quite pleased with the outcome and i think a 120 rad will be the be the next purchase :)

May i ask, how you are powering the fans at the top? do you have a fan controller? or are they just on molex?

Scythe 4 port fan controller, 6 fans in push pull, split into pairs leaving me free for the case fans.

What order have you got everything in the loop set up as? Because those CPU temps aren't a surprise if the flow is GPU block -> CPU block -> Rad. If it's Rad -> CPU block -> GPU block then I would be a little more surprised at your results.
