Hi All,
So having a itch to get into photography more, i purchased a Sony A200 years ago and never really got on with the camera and the camera in its current state isn't the best and not wanting to put loads of money in lenses on a body i am not a huge fan of.

I also have a Olympus xz-2 which i love, use it when going to Cities as i can easily put it in a pocket and get stunning photos from it.

I want to try get into wildlife / landscapes a bit more, don't have bundles of cash and wondering between the 2 cameras which is best?

I think i am going to plan to go into a shop and hold them both and see which feels nicer too.

A certain group-on site is doing the 700D with the following "Canon EOS 700D with 18-55 IS STM Lens + Additional 55-250 IS STM Lens Bundle" for £679

Or the D5300 someone posted ebay which is the stock bundle "Nikon D5300 Digital SLR with 18-55mm VR II Compact Lens Kit" for £368, could i then buy a lens to fit the gap?

Thanks in advanced guys, budget wise will be £700.

for that budget i'd get the 750D or 760D and one lens then save up a bit for the other.

If you wanted to look at Canon then the 700d was basically the same as a 650d so you might get one of those even cheaper and be able to put the different towards better lenses if you wanted.

Second hand grey market 70d bodys are pretty cheap and 70ds are lovely with a great AF system.

I am leaning towards the D5300, after some more research this also does 60fps 1080p video although won't be doing loads of videos its nice to have a slow-mo option :)

Also the price point to get body and stock lens is nice.

Thank you all for the info :)

Just pulled the trigger on that D5300 so excited, reading on how much of a improvement it is from the a200 i have and oh my its like 1000x better :D
