Basically I've had to pump 1.58V into this thing to get 3.42Ghz out of it, CPU-Z is reporting 1.536V while I'm loading it with Orthos, I'm testing with small fft's because I want to see if it'll handle the speed. Obviously 70c is quite hot, I generally have a rule at 65c. It's not exceeding 70C, it seems to get there, stay a while then goes down and up again.
What short term problems could I have, if any? Obviously it won't be loading all the time, it'll never pass 65C with the things I do. I was also wondering what else effects the CPU overclocking ability, 1.58V seems very high, I've heard some C2D chips like a bit of juice, would you say I've got a juice hungry one?
