70mm Fans

Looking for a 70mm fan to go in a original xbox as i've converted it to run XBMC and the stock fan is a little noisy for my liking.

Would prefer something with some LEDs in as its a crystal xbox but its not a big deal if it doesnt have any.

I'm afraid OcUK's stock on 70mm fans is rather lacking

Can you not modify it to fit a larger fan?

You can mod it to take a 80mm fan but this means chopping some of the fan shroud away and there is just enough clearance for the current fan between the case and the hard drive bay.

Im going to clean up both of the heat sinks and refit them with some MX-3 as this seems to give temp drops of about 10c under load.

So once I've got a nice quite fan for it and upgraded it a 320/500b drive I'll have a very cheap media system costing about £80 all in.

Im toying with the idea of just goin with an 80mm fan and chopping it about to fit it in .

Yea, for a little more effort you get much better airflow and a shiny LED

Yea looks like the best option now im just annoyed as I cant find anything apart from Blue LED fans and would have liked red.

I was hoping to stay with OCUK as there is some other bits I want as well such as some MX-3 to drop temps of the box a bit and some sound deadening as I want my media xbox quiet
