My Girlfriends computer sounds like a jet engine and happens to be in our bedroom. Bit of a long shot, but is there any way of quietening down the fan on her 7300LE without replacing it?

Buy a cheap passive 7300GT ;)

There is no way other than buying an aftermarket cooler and I doubt one exist for said card, best bet tbh is buy a cheap passive card :)

Edit/ there are passive 7300LE cards so maybe a swap? pleanty on the bay..
