Hi all, been tasked by my brother to build him a new gaming PC after a few years using a laptop.

He's going to make use of my spare BitFenix Prodigy and Corsair CX600M PSU, so has £750 for all components, a monitor and keyboard.

He just wants to be able to play GTA V, The Witcher 3, MGS V at 1080p. Not going to be overclocking. He doesn't need Windows either.

Any suggestions?

How about a H81 board and i5-4430?

He may or may not need the DVD drive/big HDD. I've probably got one somewhere he can have. I think he'd prefer to spend more on the monitor than CPU/motherboard. He'll only be buying in a couple months, so I assume the price of the 280 will fall when the 285 is released?

I think that board is limited to a max RAM speed of 1600MHz, there is a black 8Gb kit on sale at £59.99 that will save some cash.
