Wireless for gaming? Invest in some of these and do away with Wireless.

I assume with the choice of the K processor your friend does intend to overclock, but you could make some savings on the CPU and Motherboard if your friend won't ever realistically bother with it by switching onto a non-z87 board and choosing a locked CPU(but it would open the budget a bit more to put into other areas). Did a build for a friend who insisted on z77 and a K processor, it sits 24/7 at stock... :/ (wish he'd been realistic about that before the parts were purchased).

This 7950 is a little better than a 270X includes some games and knocks off the P&P. If you don't have a storage HDD then you will need one sooner rather than later most likely

The 3570K CPU has the better IGP as well as being unlocked to allow the CPU ratio to be changed for OC'ing. The IGP is used by quicksync to help with video encoding tasks by supported software. Your friend can overclock as and when it suits him, I wouldn't have gone for a H series mobo either.
