£750 Gaming Laptop?

Hi folks

Im just looking for some advice. Im in the market for a gaming laptop for around £750. 17" would be nice but not fussy if it sacrifices a lot.

I read it has to be i7 to be decent for gaming. Is that true?

Anyway. Suggestions and advice if you have them.

check out dell outlet just got my sister an i7 3610 a quad core that turbos to 3.1 and a 650m GPU that will play most games at 1080p on a 17" screen cme with 1TB and 8gb of ram for £630 posted

the i5s are dual core and the i7s are quad but the price difference between the two make the quad a much better option for a small price increase.
 
The dell inspiring comes with 2gb ddr5 on 128 bit bus

The inspiron is more powerful then the xps 17 I would upgrade from my current xps to the inspi
ring if I had the funds.

Not a big fan of the new inspiron , would not say its much more powerful then the XPS 17 only the 2GB Nvidia GeForce GT 650M
 
Nothing wrong with the XPS 17 to be honest :D

I have one and i can use photoshop CS 5 with ease and large files , not a big games player as use main p.c for that
