Guys it's been years since i've built a pc and want a new core 2 duo setup.

I don't plan on using any of my current kit except maybe the case, Chieftec Dragon.

I have a decent DVD-RW and will use my current monitor for now.

I'd love to overclock but have never done it before so something that a noob could clock would be great.

Looking to spend £750 maybe £800 at a push.

Thanks

FrannoBaz has given you a pretty decent specification although I'd drop the Akasa cables as unnecessary, you've said you don't need the DVDRW so it is now well under budget. I'd also change the Ram to some PC6400, maybe the Geil PC6400 C4 which is cheaper than the Crucial. You might be able to get a faster CPU into the budget now or possibly the 640mb 8800GTS which would help if you have a big monitor. :)

You sure? Because with that budget we can spec something decent with a 'better' case. By better I mean more airflow (which newer setup require) whilst still very quiet, e.g...

I assume its for gaming?
