The current PSU in the desktop has been bugging me. It is a 550w non-modular psu that was part of a package from a competitor. While it seems to deliver the power ok. Its the other issues that are bugging me.
What I would like is either semi-modular or fully modular, with long enough cables, and some extra capacity for future expansion (an AIO CPU coolers (120mm) either a 4690k or 4790k, couple of extra ssd/hdd drives, a new GPU may be a 970 or 390 for 4k, and a PCIe drive).
Trying to decide between Cougar GX800 never heard of this brand before EVGA supernova 750 at the top end of the budget Superflower Leadex little bit more than I wanted to pay or Corsair RMi750 again it is price.
Any suggestions or comments would be welcome.
- The power lead to the cpu is short and in order to reach has to routed over the cpu cooling fan.
- Some of the leads just make it around the backplate and some do not.
- There is a riot of different coloured cables.
- There is only a six pin power for the graphic card.
- I have used up all the power sockets for the ssds and hdd.
