754 mobos

Hi
Does sdocket 754 mobo;s have 20 or 24 pins connections for the PSU

MY mate has upgraded his GFX card to a x1950xt and his psu is not up to scratch

he needs me to install his PSU. but i need to go purchase oen for him

having never used 754 be4 im not sure, as i wont see the pc until i have already made the purchase for him

Most likely 20-pin. But, if purchasing a new PSU it doesn't matter. All new ones are compatible with ATX 1.3. (A.K.A. 20-pin), i.e. last four pins are detachable...

My DFI UT250GB and my Asus K8N-E Deluxe both have 20 pin connectors.

My Abit NV8 has a 24 pin connector.

btw I have a Coolermaster PSU with a 24pin ATX power connector which does not have detachable 4 pins.
