75hz freesync vs 120hz non freesync

Got my eye on a used 120hz monitor for about 80 quid, but also found a new 75hz freesync for about 80.

What would be smoother guys?

Sometimes drops to 50 -60 fps in planetside 2 and PUBG. I was looking at some 75hz freesync monitors but their lower range is often 45fps, is there any way to change this lower range? Thanks mate

Nah, it's a hardware limitation on the monitor side. Needs to support Low Framerate Compensation.

75hz is horrible. get as many hz as you can, sync tech isnt all that important and you can pick a lower refresh rate if you need it.

If you can get 120fps then 120hz

if you can't run above that in most games then 75hz and freesync will assist to make it look more like 80... but deffo not 120

LOL. I looked at my screen twice yesterday and immediately barfed up, it was that bad. :rolleyes:
