hi guys i currently have a XFX 7970 had it for about a year now its been a great card but seems to be stuggling on metro last light etc.

would i be better off getting another 7970 or i was thinking selling this and getting a pair of 760's in sli ?

any help appreciated.

well i have the 7970 with excelero extreme cooler and a heat killer water block and back plate that i could sell and put towards 2 760's, as the bench marks are excellent beating titan in most cases for £400?

Fair enough. Sounds like you might fancy a change, nothing wrong with that. Two 760s in sli is a very potent and decent priced combo. In terms of value, that is the better option.

7970 crossfire beats 760 sli and theres the extra VRAM. Unless you are set on NVidia then why sell a top end card to get 2 mid-to-top end cards, when you could just add another top end one......if that makes sense!

I've had a quick google, but didn't find much. There is a review of 760 sli on Guru3d actually, but at first glance it seems to show only the 7990 and focus more on 1440p. Here's the link :

I think you're probably looking at an average of around 10 - 15% faster with two 7970s over 760 sli; some games will be less, while some will be quite a lot more than that.
