Folks,

I bought a 7600GT (pci-e) off the forum and have hit a problem with the card.

After around 30 minutes of use in Windows, the screen blanks then returns with severe corruption. This then cycles every 5 seconds or so until I reboot.

Any idea what the problem might be? The card is only two months old and is on standard settings.

Thanks

is the corruption tearing across the screen or blotches, cause tearing is usually memory and when core goes i notice it tends to be dotty and random colours

Temp on bootup is 42', after 5 minutes in windows it's up to 46'

CPU is running at 45' with 2 instances of Boinc running, and the HDDs are at 36-37.

PSU is Enermax 535w. All the rails are showing as within 1% of expected readings...

Previous user had put a zalman hsf & memory hs on. I've taken these all off for now and reverted to the original hsf to see if that can help for whatever reason.

using recent drivers, card temperatures look spot on (i had 7600GTs) for the said cooler, PSU will be fine as well since 7600GTs use little power, can't think of why that is happening, everything looks fine to me

I have the receipt for the card, what's the chances of ocuk replacing it under warranty given that the hsf has been replaced?
