7600GT - annoying false SLI error message

Hi,

I've got my new BFG 7600GT OC set up and its working great with all my games etc.

However, each time I boot up I get the following message:

sli-blurb.gif

It's a strange one, as my motherboard only has one PCI-X slot and therefore it's never been in SLI configuration. The mobo does have onboard Geforce 6100 graphics (disabled of course) but that wouldn't cause this false error message would it?

Does anybody have any idea how I can stop this annoying popup from appearing? I've looked in the nVidia Control Panel SLI settings and there is nothing I can change there.

I'm using Forceware 91.31 drivers on Windows XP MCE 2005.

Cheers!

this was a driver error from awhile ago.
maybe update to the latest on nvidia's website, shouldnt get the message then :)

Thanks mate, I'll do that.

Also, I've just been looking around the OcUK shop and I've seen this:

HIS ATI Radeon X1900 GT ICEQ 3 SILENT Heatpipe 256MB for £150

Seems like a good deal, especially with the IceQ fan. Anybody care to comment on how this rates over the BFG 7600GT OC?

Though I am happy with the 7600GT (after I fitted a Zalman VF700 so it runs nice and quiet that is) I am thinking of flogging it on fleabay and getting something better with more pixel shaders for the longer term (it was a replacement from OcUK for a faulty X800XT-PE you see)

I think my 420w Xilence PSU might be able to handle the extra oomph required for the X1900GT.

Or should I just stick with the 7600GT, save my cash and wait and see what happens with the next gen cards?

Decisions decisions!

I'd save your cash. It would be a little faster, but not worth the outlay / grief.

If you could save up to a 7900 GTO (£180 I think) or a X1900XT 512 (£205 from the clearence section) then you'll get value in your upgrade.
