7600gt flickering screen

Just installed one of these cards in my new build. The screen now flickers every so often. Doesnt stay still for more than a minute. Its a slight flicker , doesnt shake or anything. I guess like a loose connection. I have double checked all wires and everything is sound. The monitor is fine as I only just moved it from the old pc.

I am thinking it might be time for a newer monitor. The current one is approx 4 years old and only has a 60 refresh rate.

Is this likely to be the problem? Or could it be the card?

I had the same problem with my 7900GTX 'EE's, turnt out to be just a driver problem.

I have latest drivers. Will have to search around for any known issues

did it flicker with your old card? if not then its either driver problem or a problem with the card you have.

ok, it didnt flicker with my old card which was a 6800LE.

I have noticed it also flickers on boot up and when I enter bios. Now am I right thinking that the drivers are not loaded at that time?

I tried a lower resolution of 1200X800 with a 75 refresh, still flickers.

Is it still likely to be a monitor problem?

Also I installed the latest beta drivers and its the same.

Might try to dig out an older driver or install the one from the cd I got with the card.
