so how is everyone doing in this heat? thought i would finally test out my card and go for max stable overclocks which i will be using 24/7. got a hold of a zalman vf900cu today and fitted it on. temps dropped from stock cooler which managed 75c max core temp in ati tool to 54c max temp in ati tool with the zalman running full speed, silent too even at max speed.

so thats a good drop in core temp considering the cooler only cost me £19.92p inc vat at my local computer shop.

SO

how is the clocks going for everyone?

im fully stable with my inno3d 7600gt at:

625 core
864 memory

all at stock voltages

how is everyone else doing with these cards?

Two leadtek 7600GTs both running stable at 655/850 both using zalman fatal1ty coolers on maximum voltage, idle temps 41*C, load temps unsure, 7100+ 3D mark '05 with single card, with SLI i haven't got a clue since formatted and CBA to re-dowload it

Edit: with temperatures outside being very warm and room temperature just ridiculous running at 46*C at the moment :(

there brilliant all round, fantastic value for money, very good performance/price, highly overclockable and they seem reliable as a rock, and to top that all off they run nice and cool

yea, is quite shocking to see that we are the only two people on this forum to be using 7600gt's. everyone else is after 7900 or x1800 or 1900

there'll be a few more in here somewhere, but im well happy with there performance, there shocking for the money, i mean 6800 ultra+ performance for just over 100 notes

Thats because the X1800XT is even better value for money and at only £40 more its smashes it.

i play doom 3, quake 4, AOE3, act of war, BFME2, stuff like that, my 7600GT handles them all without a stutter with AA and AF, how would X1800XT offer me any more performance in these games, im not one who cares about 3 more frames/second since 3 makes absolutely no difference when games are running smooth

Edit: when i bought my first 7600GT it was 120 pounds, and the X1800XT was 187 or something, so it was hardly 20 pound difference when i got the GT, im happy with them and in the end thats all that really matters :p

where have you seen a x1800xt sell for £140 inc vat and delivery?

my 7600gt cost me £97.40p inc vat and delivery, no way was i going to get any better performance without shelling out another 70 quid on top for a x1800xt delivered.

and with dx10 out soon spending a lot of money on a gfx card now is a bad idea.

I have just bought a new xfx 7600GT and the clock speeds are 590 and 1600...which are stock...to be honest, it blows me away with Call of Duty 2 and other games on full!

its official, im gonna install watercooling quite soon and we'll see where that takes the GTs and my 3200+, my venice reaches 2.9Ghz with blue orb II im using now so im sure it can do 3Ghz :D

very good card the 7600gt, i had one myself for my main rig,

with opteron [email protected] and an inno3d 7600gt pci-e i clocked to 615/855 i scored 6740 odd in 3dm05. brilliant card for the price.

now im using a x1900xt but my media pc is using a 7600gs and thats fairly quick too, since it just need to output at 1360x768.

remember to use 2xQ aa in games to get 4xAA quality with 2xAA speed penalty. made good use of 2xQ AA when i had the 7600gt.

on a 2.5ghz a64: xfx 76gt xxx edition @ 750/1800 (not stable - 675/1700 stable :) ) ~7500 3dmarks in '05...

Only tried sli in my rig, 805 @ 4100mhz... (now on a c2d, not sli'd them yet)

single at 690/1650 - 7200 '05, 4030 '06

sli at 650/1650 - 12001 '05, 6346 '06

Both cards have vf900's on them, and i haven't seen either one hit 50c with ati tool artifact scanning :)

Currently looking into volt modding them, although it appears i need a floppy drive for this :( i'm sure these could do much better with a bit more voltage..

had a bfg 76gt oc too, bought not long ago (friend has it now) £45 delivered is a damn nice price... and by far out performs the x1800xt 'bang for buck' wise... that 580/1450 stock, i got it to 630/1650, the mem would go further, but the core just didnt want to clock so well :/ didn't bench it though...

seen a couple on the orb over 820core..

I have an Xpertvision 7600GT PCI-E @ 700/1650 plus another Xpertvision 7600GS AGP @ 725/1600 (default clocks are 400/1000). I thought my GT overclocked well until I got the GS.

Absolutely stonking cards for the money.

Paid £57 for my 7600 gt 2 weeks ago liking it but never anything more than a stop gap until i an get a dx10 card.Mines just 560/1400 though havent bothered clocking it.Yea mines the xpertvision too hey stock is 560 not 400.

Ive got a Galaxy 7600GS Superclocked, basically GT. Runs at 550/1550mhz stock :D. Great card, bang for buck at £44.99 has got to be hard to beat. Have thrown everything at it inc. C&C 3, Sup Com, TDU and Fear.....Loves it!
