Afternoon all.

As the title says, really. Will I see much improvement from a Leadtek 7600GT Extreme if I move to an x1950 pro? Certain benchies appear to indicate yes but wondered if anyone had personal experience?

If I do go for a change is there much difference between the 256 and 512MB cards? And, come to that, the brands?

Cheers for any input :)

edit : other bits and bobs - 2 gigs of RAM, DSP3 mobo, E6300 @ 2.8Ghz, 19" CRT monitor, max res 1600 x 1200 @ 75Hz

You will see a nice performance boost also i would get the 512 as games
these days are using a lot more memory. If you plan keeping it for awhile
then has to be 512.

iv gone from a 7600gs to a x1950pro for my agp system and the difference is very good. deffo worth it. and since your on pci-e the x1950pro can be had for an even cheaper price.

hmm, that reminds me, i got a 7600gs agp now that i better stick in the members market.

Brilliant, thanks for the help so far.

Tempted by the 512mb from Powercolour but debating if the cheaper OCUK card might be comparable. Any thoughts/experience?

Thanks for all the help. Went with the x1950 pro Saphire 512MB (mistyped earlier as Powercolour) so should get it on Tuesday.

Cheers guys and thanks again. :)
