I have just purchased a 'Leadtek Winfast A7600 GT THD' and I am having problems...
Firstly everything works fine in terms of games and general browsing and i am incredibly happy with it after upgrading from (memory serving) a Gforce 4! Also in the upgrade I improved the PSU (Hiper HPU-4M580 Type R 580W ATX2.2 PSU) and system case.
The problem is that after I installed the card, i found that it was running incredibly slowly, the draw time for the 'right click' box on the windows desktop was taking 10s plus (and was slightly interesting if only to show how the thing is actually drawn in order). But ultimately it was unworkable and was only 'fixed' to a workable speed by turning down the colour to 16bit; I later found out that it was msn of all things that was breaking the system.
So with MSN not running at start-up i went ahead and stated using the system seemingly without problems (I was planning to look at msn myself at a later date) but another much bigger issue arose...
That of an inability to watch videos. It has the same problem, that the system suddenly slows down to a crawl and does not display the film at all! Not only that, but even the 'nvidia control panel' section on Video and Television has the same response!
What I have done for this so far has been minimal, mostly cause i dont know really where this problem is.. Is it a problem with the card, or maybe a problem with my system not being a clean install of the OS... I have cleared and installed the drivers a couple of times to see if there would be improvement but nothing... To be honest I am more than a little lost. Any help would be wonderful guys!
